Who we are
Video Engine is a web application that helps sellers create short-form product videos and publish them to social platforms they connect and authorize, including TikTok.
Information we collect
- Account details you provide (name, email) to create and access your workspace.
- Product information and media (images, video clips, descriptions) you upload.
- When you connect a TikTok account via TikTok's official OAuth, we receive a scoped access token and your basic public profile (display name, avatar) so we can show which account is connected and publish on your behalf. We never receive your TikTok password.
- Engagement metrics returned by connected platforms for videos you publish.
How we use it
- To generate, render, and (with your authorization) publish videos to your accounts.
- To display your connected accounts and the performance of your content.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
TikTok data
We access TikTok only through TikTok's official APIs, using OAuth access you grant. We use the Content Posting API solely to upload or post videos to the account you authorized. Tokens are encrypted at rest and used only to provide the service. You can revoke our access at any time from your TikTok settings or by disconnecting the account in Video Engine; on disconnection we delete the stored tokens.
Data retention & deletion
We retain your data while your account is active. You may delete your products, videos, and connected accounts at any time, and request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Security
Provider tokens and secrets are stored encrypted and never exposed to the browser. Files are kept in private storage and served via short-lived signed URLs.
